【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversalloysteelcastings,whichhavebeensubjectedtospecialheattreatment,forvalves,flanges,fittings,andotherpressure-containingparts(Note1)intendedprimarilyforhigh-temperatureservice.1.2Thehigh-temperaturepropertiesofthematerialscoveredinthisspecificationaredependentuponspecialheattreatmentthatisrequired.Althoughthehigh-temperaturepropertiesarenotspecified,theyareimpliedbycontrolofchemistry,heattreatment,androom-temperatureproperties.1.3Twogradesofferriticalloysteelarecovered(Note2).Selectionwilldependonthedesignandserviceconditions,mechanicalproperties,andhigh-temperaturecharacteristics.Note18212;Carbonsteelcastingsforpressure-containingpartsarecoveredbySpecificationA216/A216M.AlloysteelcastingsarecoveredbySpecificationA217/A217M.Note28212;Thegradescoveredbythisspecificationrepresentmaterialsthataregenerallysuitableforassemblywithothercastingsorwroughtsteelpartsbyfusionwelding.Itisnotintendedtoimplythatthesegradespossessequaldegreesofweldability;therefore,itistheresponsibilityofthepurchasertoestablishforhimselfasuitableweldingtechnique.Sincethesegradespossessvaryingdegreesofsuitabilityforresistancetooxidationandforhigh-temperatureservice,itisalsotheresponsibilityofthepurchasertodeterminewhichgradeshallbefurnished,dueconsiderationbeinggiventotherequirementsoftheapplicableconstructioncodes.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
